Frequently Asked Questions1. Who is Kat Life Films? We are the film production company behind submerge. 2. Have you filmed submerge yet? Principal Photography will begin 2 January, 2009 and end 30 January, 2009. 3. When is submerge going to be released? Probably in 2010. It depends on the post-production period. Once we have filmed submerge we will seek post-production funding from Screen Australia and/or Film Victoria. Once the film has been post-produced and is ready to release, we will work in conjunction with our sales agent and/or distributor to determine the best date and event to release submerge. It is quite likely submerge will premier at a significant film festival. 4. Will I be able to see submerge at my local cinema? Hopefully! We are in discussions with a distributor who can ensure submerge is seen in Australian cinemas but it is too early to say when and whether this will happen. In terms of overseas, we are most likely to show the film in North America, the U.K and Europe. As an arthouse/queer film, submerge would play in selected cinemas mostly, not your giant multiplexes. 5. Who is the director? Remember this name, Sophie O'Connor. In years to come you'll be able to say you were involved in the film that launched a stellar career. Sophie brings a blend of artistic brilliance and pragmatic skills to directing. Sophie recently won an award at Melbourne International Film Festival for her short film - "Run with the Ball or Die with your Boots On". In recent times Sophie has taken over scripting and is fine-tuning the screenplay to the best it's ever been. Sophie is also an accomplished musician, heading up the band Franklyn James, who will be playing NYE 2008 at Birrarung Marr. 6. Who is Blu After Glow?
